Fave book to movie?

Here in the Mentink den, we bears enjoy a good flick now and then. Some of our faves are those movies that came from great books. Recently, I’ve been surveying folks about The Help and the consensus seems to be this is one of those great films that does justice to the book that inspired it. It put me in the mood to survey the bears about their favorite book to movie extravaganza. The results are below.

Papa Bear’s fave–Lord of the Rings

Yogi’s fave – Lord of the Rings

Boo Boo’s fave – Harry Potter

Mama Bear’s fave – The Wizard of Oz

My vote goes to anything written by John Grisham translates to a fantastic film. Titles like ‘The Firm’, ‘The Client’, The Chamber’, The Pelican Brief’, and ‘The Runaway Jury’..just to name a few. Great films!

  2. Two movies that stayed mostly true to the books were The Boys from Brazil and The Stepford Wives, the original Stepford Wives, not the silly remake. I don’t like horror movies or books, but these are more of a psychological horror. The author is Ira Levin, who also wrote Rosemary’s Baby.
And I wish, wish, wish Peter Jackson had contacted me (or other people who have read LOTR more than a dozen times, before he made some of his stupid mistakes.

  3. Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire 🙂
