What is it about some stories and movies that give them lasting power? I’m thinking of the Christmas books and movies that we want to experience over and over again, everytime December rolls around. Do you have any favorites like that? Let’s test your Christmas savvy shall we? Here are some quotes from famous Christmas movies. See how many you recognize. Feel free to add some of your own for us to guess!

Post your score or share your own fave quote and share the fun!

1. His wealth is quite useless to him, really. He doesn’t do any good with it; he doesn’t even make himself comfortable with it.

2. We elves try to stick to the four main food groups: candy, candy canes, candy corns and syrup.

3. Strange isn’t it? Each man’s life touches so many other lives. When he isn’t around he leaves an awful hole, doesn’t he?

4. Didn’t I ever tell you about bumbles? Bumbles bounce.

I have a couple more to add. These are some from my favorite Christmas movies to watch 🙂

1.) “Seeing is believing, but sometimes the most real things in the world are the things we can’t see.”
2.)” I’m glad he took our presents. You can’t hurt Christmas, Mr. Mayor, because it isn’t about the… the gifts or the contest or the fancy lights. That’s what Cindy’s been trying to tell everyone… and me. I don’t need anything more for Christmas than this right here: my family.”

  9. I agree with Suzan Michet, except for #4. I did not recall ever hearing that. Here is my addition from one of my favorite stories: “Christmas isn’t just a day. It’s a frame of mind.”
